ABOUT US

More archery please!

ArrowDynamics Archery was established in February 2024, but was borne out of an idea that a group of Girl Scout leaders discussed endlessly over many summers together at Girl Scout Howard County Day Camp. Starting in 2007 with a handful of borrowed equipment, brand new USA Archery certifications, and barely enough time for each camper to shoot 6 arrows, we started pushing the envelope. What could we do with more time? Better equipment? More certified instructors?

But first, we needed the demand. “Hey kids! If you loved archery today, and you want even MORE, then write three magic words on your end of camp evaluations - ‘More archery please!’”

That was all it took. We grew the program until a record 24 kids could shoot at one time, an average of 30+ arrows in one hour, and hundreds of kids walking away with a new love for an old sport. The program would not have been successful without the dozens of junior coaches over the years, who gained valuable leadership skills while they got to share the sport that they loved.

What about outside of camp? Could we replicate this program for the community? Could we teach more people? Could we teach beyond the basics? Could we compete?

And thus, ArrowDynamics was created! We are so excited to offer more archery, and to see what records we set next!
